Appalachian Regional Healthcare announces appointment of new Community CEO at Morgan County ARH Hospital
Appalachian Regional Healthcare (ARH) has named Jamey Locke as the new Community CEO to lead its 25-bed critical access hospital in Morgan County.
Locke, from Graves County, will officially assume his duties at the Morgan County ARH Hospital in West Liberty, Ky., on December 10.
He most recently served as the Regional Executive Director of Operations-West Region for Baptist Health in Paducah where he oversaw the operation of the hospital’s Urgent Care, Express Care, Occupational Medicine and School Clinics and recruitment of providers. An experience ARH President and CEO Joe Grossman says will be a great benefit to Morgan County ARH Hospital.

His many years of working directly with providers and in recruitment are an added benefit for Morgan County ARH as we continue to focus on adding more physicians and specialties in this community.” Grossman said. “Mr. Locke shares ARH’s commitment to providing quality care and we are confident that he will work diligently to continue to build the level of healthcare provided to the residents of Morgan County and the surrounding communities.”
Locke brings more than 20 years of executive healthcare experience to the position, having served in multiple leadership roles at Baptist Health where his key emphasis has been on patient satisfaction and quality care.
Locke started his career as an EMS paramedic and firefighter, and later served as the CEO/Executive Director of a joint venture EMS system comprised of the Baptist Health and Mercy Health systems. He also served as the Emergency Management Director for the Graves County Fiscal Court, and Executive Director, Oldham County EMS/Baptist EMS (BEMS).
Locke, along with his wife and children, plans to reside in the Morgan County area.
