Middlesboro ARH Hospital hosted its women’s health series called Lunch & Learn on April 10 at the Sleep Inn in Middlesboro.
Christy Johnson, APRN and medical provider at the Rejuvenation Center medical spa, discussed facial rejuvenation and specific services available locally while ladies enjoyed lunch.
According to Johnson, Middlesboro’s new Rejuvenation Center medical spa is not like any other spa in the area. The Center provides medically supervised services as well as cosmetic and skin care products.
“We offer only the best products and services to our customers,” shared Johnson. “As a medical spa, we can treat facial conditions like brown spots, redness, and fine lines that cannot be treated at all or as effectively by a traditional salon.”
Johnson explained that the Rejuvenation Center medical spa uses chemical peels that vary by strength. For those who have acne, you may want to choose a stronger peel that is more aggressive in exfoliating the skin. Chemical exfoliation forces new skin cell turnover, diminishes fine lines and age spots and brightens and tightens the skin.
Johnson described another popular service-- microderm¬abrasion, which is an exfoliating treatment that restores a youthful glow. Instead of strong chemicals, microdermabrasion uses tiny crystals to exfoliate your face. This is a deep cleansing treatment that reduces pore size and causes your skin to renew and glow.
Johnson discussed other services and products offered at the Rejuvenation Center including Facials, Laser Hair Reduction, LATISSE (to grow eyelashes longer, fuller, darker), Clarisonic skin cleansing systems, St. Tropez sunless tanner, Obagi skin care products, SkinCeuticals skin care products, Glotherapeutics and Glominerals makeup.
Thirty-seven women attended the April Lunch & Learn. Fifteen lucky ladies won a door prize.
