Lunch & Learn: An ARH Women’s Health Series Set for January 11
Middlesboro ARH Hospital invites ladies in the community to its women’s health series called Lunch & Learn.
Lunch & Learn offers insight and tips on a variety of women’s health issues. On Thursday, January 11, Internist Brooke Laughter, DO, will give a presentation on “Facts about the Cold and Flu Season.”
Dr. Laughter (pronounced LAW-TER) earned her medical degree from Lincoln Memorial University, Debusk College of Osteopathic Medicine, and completed her internal medicine residency at Bluefield Regional Medical Center in Bluefield, W. Va.
Dr. Laughter, who specializes in internal medicine, joined the practice of Elizabeth Douglas, MD, and Jessica Helton, APRN, who practice family medicine in Fall 2017. As an internist, Dr. Laughter’s expertise is to diagnose and treat a comprehensive spectrum of illnesses that affect adults, including acute illnesses such as infections and influenza and chronic illnesses such as diabetes and high blood pressure. Dr. Laughter also promotes wellness, disease prevention and mental health.
Adult women of all ages are invited to the Lunch & Learn series. The lunch will be held in the hospital classroom, which is located near the MRI entrance at the back of the hospital. Lunch will be served at noon with the program starting by 12:15 p.m. and ending at 12:45 p.m. Lunch is free and there will be an opportunity to win a door prize.
