Tug Valley ARH Auxiliary launches Angel of Hope Project
The Tug Valley ARH Auxiliary recently launched their Angel of Hope Project for patients undergoing chemotherapy treatments at their hospital.
With the emphasis being on hope, Tug Valley ARH Auxiliary members are now presenting oncology patients with a beautiful “Angel of Hope” blanket and a goody bag which includes a mason jar, fan, hand sanitizer, crossword puzzle, pencil and pen and pamphlets provided by the American Cancer Society. A special card attached to the goody bag shares this message: “For He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.” Psalms 91:11
“Due to a personal experience, I suggested the Auxiliary organize the Angel of Hope project,” shared Cassandra Gregory, Tug Valley ARH volunteer liaison coordinator and secretary for the auxiliary. “They embraced my idea and agreed that it’s a wonderful way to show our oncology patients how much we care as they begin their journey of chemotherapy treatments.”
