Special Programs
Educational opportunities
The Hazard ARH Regional Medical Center serves as the host site for the
Southeast Area Health Education Center (AHEC) and as a training site for the University of
Kentucky Family Practice Residency Program. Classes which may be used for continuing
medical education (CME) and continuing education (CE) credit can also be viewed locally
with the Health and Sciences Television Network (HSTN) and the Kentucky Health Care
Teleconferencing Network. ARH offers educational loans to qualifying individuals who plan
to pursue a career in the healthcare field and return to serve in the region.
Community Activities
The Hazard ARH Regional Medical Center hosts many different health fairs
and career days throughout the year.
We also provide tours of our facility to school groups throughout the
school year, and work with local businesses to provide flu shots and physical exams to employees.
