The Medical Mall offers residents in Perry and surrounding counties a convenient answer to outpatient healthcare services and will address the future healthcare needs of the community.

When ARH announced plans in 2006 to transform the former Hazard Wal-Mart building in the Black Gold Plaza into a Medical Mall, those involved in the process knew it would be a massive undertaking. Today, that undertaking has paid off as residents now have easy access to outpatient medical care, physical and cardiac rehabilitation, home medical equipment, retail pharmacy and surgical weight loss services. Additional services continue to be added and more are planned for the future. The complete renovation of the 90,000-square-foot former department store, which had sat vacant for two years, has now attracted state-wide attention and was recently chosen for an Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) "Award of Excellence."
