Our Respiratory Care Department provides twenty-four hour coverage. Our services provide diagnostic evaluation, treatment, and care for people having problems associated with their lungs and breathing.
- Arterial Blood Gases are performed by collecting a sample of blood from an artery. Blood gases measure the pH (acidity), oxygen content, and carbon dioxide content of the blood.
- Pulse Oximetry measures oxygen saturation in the blood.
- Nebulizers help to keep the respiratory system functioning properly through the use of aerosols that distribute medication to the lungs.
- Ventilator Support assists and controls breathing when the patients breathing muscles have been compromised by disease, trauma or general anesthesia.
- IPPB/CPAP/BiPAP assists patients breathing providing positive airway pressure for better oxygen exchange and ventilation.
- CPT methods used to assist patients with the clearance of secretions.
