Our Respiratory Care Department provides diagnostic evaluation, treatment, and care for people having problems associated with their lungs and breathing.
- Arterial Blood Gases are performed by collecting a sample of blood from an artery. Blood gases measure the pH (acidity), oxygen content, and carbon dioxide content of the blood.
- EEG(Electroencephalogram) is an instrument that measures and records electrical activity in the brain.
- EKG(Electrocardiogram) traces the electrical activity occurring in the heart.
- Holter Monitoring can painlessly monitor your heartbeat for 24 or 48 hours as you go about your daily business.
- Pulmonary Function Testing ( including DLCO) will help determine your lung condition, enabling us to develop an individualized plan of treatment.
- Pulse Oximetry measures oxygen saturation in the blood.
- Nebulizers help to keep the respiratory system functioning properly through the use of aerosols that distribute medication to the lungs.
- Stress Testing provides your physician with a detailed evaluation of your cardiovascular fitness.
- Ventilator Support assists and controls breathing when the patients breathing muscles have been compromised by disease, trauma or general anesthesia.
- CPAP/BiPAP assists patients breathing providing positive airway pressure for better oxygen exchange and ventilation.
- Vest / CPT/ Flutter Therapy methods used to assist patients with the clearance of secretions.
- Pediatric / Neonatal services include:
- Nebulizer Therapy
- CPT
- P/Ox Monitoring
- Oxygen Therapy/Aerosol Tent Therapy, Oxyhoods
- Nasal CPAP
- Ventilator Support
