Think FAST !
Williamson ARH for Advanced Stroke Care
Stroke is the silent killer and every minute counts. If you think someone you know may be having an issue, just think F.A.S.T or F-A-S- T.
|
F stands for face, check the person's face to see if one side is drooping or is non- reactive.
A is for Arms. Ask the person to hold their arms out straight and if one drops that is another indicator.
S means Speech, so check to see if the person can talk or is slurring their speech.
T means time, remember, every second counts, so get them as quickly as possible to Williamson ARH.

Williamson ARH Hospital is now offering patients in the Tug Valley area a local answer for advanced stroke and other neurological care.
Serving to further increase the level of care the patient will receive is a remote presence robot that can connect the Williamson ARH emergency room staff and physicians who suspect a patient has had a stroke to a neurologist from St. Mary's in Huntington, W.Va for further consultation. Recognized as a Centers of Excellence in Neuroscience, Heart Care and Cancer Care. St. Mary's Regional Stroke Center has received the Gold Award from both the Joint Commission and the American Stroke Association, the only hospital in West Virginia to hold both awards for stroke care.
