DIETETIC SERVICES
304-255-3273

"You are what you eat". We want to help you live a healthier and happier life by eating smart and staying healthy. Listed below are a few of the topics the dietary department can provide assistance with.

  • Diabetes Education explains how diabetes affects many parts of the body. To stay healthy, it is important to know how to eat the right food.
  • Food Allergy is an immune system response to a food that the body mistakenly believes is harmful. Once the immune system decides that a particular food is harmful, it creates specific antibodies to it.
  • Food Intolerance is an adverse reaction, such as a stomachache, bloating, gas, or diarrhea, to certain foods.
  • Disease Specific Diets (Cardiac & Renal) is the dietary restriction or dietary intake of specific nutrients as a means to assist in the management of a disease process.
  • General Health and Wellness promotes healthy choices in the foods we eat.

A physician's order is required for all services. Please stop at the registration desk before going to the dietary department. For more information about the Dietetic Services at Beckley ARH, call 304-255-3273.
