- PET/CT Scan merges two technologies into a single machine.
- PET is an acronym for Positron Emission Tomography. This test uses special imaging cameras and a radioactive type of sugar to produce pictures of the function and metabolism of the cells in the body.
- CT stands for Computerized Tomography. It is an x-ray test that generates a detailed view of the anatomy or structure of organs and tissues in the body. The CT scan can show the dimensions of vessels, lymph nodes and organ systems.

- MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) is similar to CT Scanning but instead of utilizing x-rays, MRI uses a strong magnetic field and radio waves to produce images of the head and body. It can be used to diagnostically study blood vessels, soft tissue and also bone.
- Mammography is the examination of the breast for diagnosis of disease or abnormality. The technologist are specially trained and nationally registered in Mammography.
- Nuclear Medicine utilizes radioactive isotopes, which emit certain rays that are traced and measured by the equipment. This facilitates the diagnosis of many conditions.
- Ultrasound utilizes equipment that uses sound waves to construct images of internal organs of the body and also fetal imaging. This helps your physician make a diagnosis and decide on the necessary treatment.
- Fluoroscopy utilizes x-rays with contrast mediums in visualizing the gastrointestinal tract. This facilitates the diagnosis of many conditions.
- Tomography utilizes x-rays with IV contrast in visualization of the urinary tract. Aides in the diagnosis of many conditions.
- Thallium Stress Test is a type of nuclear scanning test that shows how well blood flows to the heart muscle. After a small amount of a radioactive substance called thallium is injected into the bloodstream, pictures are made to determine blood flow.
