DIETETIC SERVICES

606-242-1442

"You are what you eat". We want to help you live a healthier and happier life by eating smart and staying healthy. Listed below are a few topics that the Middlesboro ARH Dietary Department can assist you with.

  • Diabetes Education explains how diabetes affects many parts of the body. To stay healthy, it is important to know how to eat the right food.
  • Food Allergy is an immune system response to a food that the body mistakenly believes is harmful. Once the immune system decides that a particular food is harmful, it creates specific antibodies to it.
  • Food Intolerance is an adverse reaction, such as a stomachache, bloating, gas, or diarrhea, to certain foods.
  • Disease Specific Diets (Cardiac & Renal) is the dietary restriction or dietary intake of specific nutrients as a means to assist in the management of a disease process.
  • General Health and Wellness promotes healthy choices in the foods we eat.

A physicians order is required for all services. Please stop at the registration desk before going to the dietary department. For more information about the Dietetic Services at the Middlesboro ARH Hospital, call 606-242-1442.
