5 Things You Need to Know About Having Surgery at ARH

1. Your surgeon will give you a pre-surgery instruction packet. One of our helpful OR nurses will call you!
2. Please bring a complete medication list (prescription and over-the-counter). Be sure to ask you nurse which meds need to be taken the morning of your procedure.
3. For your safety, please do not eat or drink anything after midnight the night before your procedure (this includes gum, breath mints, or chewing tobacco).
4. Bring a responsible person with you to drive you home.
5. Please shower the night before and the morning of the procedure. Dress comfortably. Remove all makeup and jewelry.
