ARH Employee Emergency Assistance Guidelines

ARH Employee Emergency Assistance Guidelines

The ARH Foundation for Healthier Communities has initiated an Employee Emergency Assistance Fund made possible through the generous donations of our employees, vendors, and the public. We are grateful to be able offer some limited assistance to our employees during difficult times in their lives.

This fund was established to help employees and their immediate families navigate financial stress and unforeseen circumstances that call for immediate action and an urgent need for assistance or relief (immediate family for the purpose of this program is defined as legal spouse or legal dependent child).

Guidelines for a Qualifying Emergency Need:
  • Unforeseen Emergencies Arising From and Including but Not Limited To:
    • Loss of Primary Residence
    • Death of an employee or immediate family member which causes financial hardship
    • Care for an employee or immediate family member which causes financial hardship
    • Utilities Assistance
    • Rental/Mortgage Assistance
    • Food Assistance
    • Grocery Assistance
    • Acts of God (Fire/Flood/Tornado/Storms/Mudslides/Crime etc.)
  • Other Emergent Hardships as Deemed “Qualifying” by the Review Committee

Non-Qualifying Needs:
  • Poor Financial Planning
  • Debt Consolidation
  • Litigation including Bankruptcies etc.
  • Non-Essential Items (TV, Credit Card Payments, etc.)
  • Bail/Garnishments
  • Other Expenses Derived from Non-Emergent Situations

Criteria:
  • Applicant must be a current ARH employee
  • Applicant must complete and submit the attached application including appropriate supporting documentation (ex. Foreclosure/eviction notice, medical bills, past due utilities, police report, funeral expenses, or other related documentation)
  • Assistance is a grant; as such, it does not have to be paid back to the fund. However, it is not a source of ongoing or regular support.
    • Limits
      • No more than $2,500 in an annual period may be awarded to any qualifying individual.
      • No more than $5,000 may be awarded during a lifetime of employment. This is inclusive of any current or future employees including rehires.
  • As these funds are limited and in order to help the most ARH employees, please note that monies received for any previously submitted application does count toward your lifetime limit ($5,000) for assistance.

Process:
  • Complete the entire application and provide as much detail as you can regarding your circumstance. Please note that incomplete applications will not be processed.
  • Applications will be reviewed as soon as possible in the order that the ARH Emergency Employee Assistance Fund Committee receives them.
  • Decisions will be at the sole discretion of the ARH Emergency Employee Assistance Fund Committee and there are no guarantees of approval or level of funding.
  • Employees will be notified by the Committee of the decision as soon as possible
  • The limited funds will be distributed through the ARH Foundation for Healthier Communities, delivered in the form of a check directly to the employee.
Applications can be submitted electronically, e-mailed, faxed, or mailed to:
