Lunch & Learn: An ARH Women's Health Series Goes Red
Middlesboro ARH Hospital invites ladies in the community to its women’s health series called Lunch & Learn.
Lunch & Learn offers insight and tips on a variety of women’s health issues. On Friday, February 3, ARH Invasive Cardiologist Ehtesham Ul Haq, MD will give a presentation on women’s heart health.
Dr. Haq is board certified in nuclear cardiology interpretation, and specializes in the diagnosis, medical management (use of medicines), and prevention of cardiovascular disease. Dr. Haq performs cardiac tests including low-risk cardiac catheterization along with Dr. William Minteer at Middlesboro ARH Hospital.
According to Elaine Smith, Middlesboro ARH Community Relations Advocate and organizer of the Lunch & Learn series, women are encouraged to wear red and/or red accessories to support National Wear Red Day. Also, after the presentation, those attending will be given a red, heart balloon and asked to participate in a balloon release on the hospital lawn. “With heart disease being the number one killer of women in America, the goal is to create awareness within the community about the importance of women’s heart health,” stated Smith.
Adult women of all ages are invited to the Lunch & Learn series. The lunch will be held in the hospital classroom, which is located near the MRI entrance at the back of the hospital. Lunch will be served at noon with the program starting by 12:15 p.m. and ending at 12:45 p.m. Lunch is free and there will be an opportunity to win a door prize.
Ladies, to reserve your lunch, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or call 606.242.1222. Due to limited seating, reservations are required.
