February 06, 2025 – The ARH Foundation for Healthier Communities is proud to announce donations of $2,500 each to 16 local charities across its service regions. Each charity was carefully selected by ARH Community CEOs to ensure alignment with Appalachian Regional Healthcare (ARH) and the ARH Foundation’s values and commitment to addressing critical needs in the communities it serves.
“We’re dedicated to giving back to the communities and people we serve,” said Angela Bailey, Executive Director of the ARH Foundation. “Partnering with local organizations like these helps us to continue touching lives and making an impact.”
The organizations include Cooperative Christian Ministry (selected by Middlesboro), ARH Skilled Nursing Unit Christmas (selected by Tug Valley), The Carpenter’s Corner (selected by Beckley), REACH (selected by Summers County), and 12 Baskets Pantry (selected by Paintsville). Other recipients are the Maddiwar House of Hope and Floyd County Animal Shelter (selected by Highlands), Maddiwar House of Hope (selected by McDowell), Floyd County Animal Shelter (selected by Our Lady of the Way), and Morgan County Animal Shelter (selected by Morgan County). Additionally, ICAN (selected by Whitesburg), The Treatment Mall at ARH Behavioral Health Center (selected by Hazard), Leslie County Animal Shelter (selected by Mary Breckinridge), Christ’s Hands, Inc. (selected by Harlan), and Knox-Whitley Humane Society (selected by Barbourville) are being supported. Each organization was chosen for its meaningful impact on its respective community.
The ARH Foundation is honored to contribute to these organizations that are making a real difference in the lives of people across Eastern Kentucky, Southern West Virginia, and beyond. By partnering with local organizations, the ARH Foundation is ensuring that communities receive the resources and support they need to thrive.
