July 20, 2023 – Welcome to Living Well with the Appalachian Regional Healthcare (ARH) Foundation for Healthier Communities! As the monthly E-Newsletter for the ARH Foundation, Living Well aims to keep you in the loop as we work to further healthcare, education and community involvement in Eastern Kentucky and Southern West Virginia through philanthropy and fundraising for Appalachian Regional Healthcare. In our first edition of Living Well, we are excited to introduce you to our Executive Director, Angela Bailey.
As the Executive Director of the ARH Foundation for Healthier Communities, Angela Bailey works to ensure that the mission of the Foundation is at the forefront of everything we do. Reflecting on the mission and donors, Angela says, “Every gift and every donor is an opportunity to make a difference in the communities that ARH serves.”
The ARH Foundation has distributed $1,311,458 in funds to victims of the 2022 floods in Eastern Kentucky thanks to the generosity of our donors, helping more than 20,000 individuals and over 5,500 households. More than 6.5 million pounds or 3,250 tons of supplies were sent to ARH distribution centers and were distributed out into the hardest-hit communities of Eastern Kentucky.
Regarding the future of the ARH Foundation, Angela says, “As we embark on a new journey together for the ARH Foundation for Healthier Communities, I am excited for what is to come. Through our new additions of our E-Newsletter and our Blog, you will have a front-seat to all our progress as we work together to invest in Appalachia.”
She continued by sharing, “As we grow together, we look forward to contributing to the forward momentum that our region is experiencing thanks to those that are working to breathe life into the area that we all know and love.”
Angela is looking forward to meeting those interested in investing in the future of our rural healthcare system and our region. The ARH Foundation for Healthier Communities will ensure that your contribution is used in the most responsible and effective way to support the health and well-being of our communities.
