December 01, 2023 – Dr. Taranjeet Kaur, MD has performed her 300th procedure using the da Vinci Xi robot at Hazard ARH Regional Medical Center. Medical procedures have evolved greatly throughout the years, from open surgery and laparoscopic to robotic surgery.

ARH is in constant pursuit of new technologies and ways to help surgeons care for their patients effectively with as little trauma and downtime as possible. For patients to experience the benefits of robotic surgery, ARH surgeons like Dr. Kaur have learned to adapt and learn new skills to better serve their patients. Acquiring new skills takes time, patience, and a willingness to do things differently—something that rings true for Dr. Kaur and her team at Hazard ARH.

We are able to do minimal invasive surgery with significantly less pain, a faster recovery time, as well as a shorter hospital stay for our patients due to this new technology. We are the first in our area to do this type of advanced procedure, making me extremely proud to be a part of this healthcare system,” says Dr. Kaur.
