July 8th, 2022 – Appalachian Regional Healthcare (ARH) has named Jeremy Hall as Regional Chief Executive Officer overseeing its West Virginia locations.
Hall has been with the ARH system for the past 16 years and has served as Community CEO for the Tug Valley ARH Regional Medical Center since 2019. He also recently completed a stint as Interim Chief Operating Officer for the Hazard ARH Regional Medical Center.
On Monday, Hall will move into the Regional CEO position Jill Berry Bowen has held on an interim basis since late last year.
As ARH West Virginia Regional CEO, Hall will guide and collaborate closely with the ARH West Virginia region’s hospital leadership teams from Beckley and Summers County ARH hospitals, as well as the teams at the Tug Valley ARH Regional Medical Center, to strategically align services and optimize ARH’s impact across the region.
“I am incredibly excited about the direction that ARH is heading. We have a renewed focus on not only providing world-class care in our hospitals but also improving the overall health and well-being of our communities.” Hall said. “I look forward to partnering with our physicians, staff, and communities across the region to drive that mission forward.”
Hall has extensive experience in hospital operations, community relations and physician engagement, having risen through the ARH health system, from an Administrative Fellow in Human Resources to second in command as the Associate Administrator of the 173-bed Beckley ARH Hospital in less than 10 years. He also served as Assistant Administrator at the Middlesboro ARH Hospital for five years.
Prior to beginning his career at ARH, Hall earned a degree in health care administration from Midway College and a Master of Business Administration Degree from Kaplan University, Davenport, Iowa. He is also a graduate of the inaugural class of the ARH Leadership Academy, an internal ARH training academy that helps develop the abilities and strengths of emerging leaders.
“Jeremy is an excellent example of the time and attention ARH places on identifying potential leaders within our healthcare system and investing in their leadership growth and career advancement at ARH,” says ARH President and CEO Hollie Phillips. “Jeremy’s years of leadership experience in accomplishing strategic goals and objectives have made him the perfect choice to lead these efforts as we progress into this regional approach to care moving ARH forward. I am proud of what he has achieved to date and am excited to see all he will accomplish in this new and exciting chapter of his career.”
