NEWS RELEASE – February 27, 2023

Terpstra Named Director of Surgical Services at Hazard ARH Regional Medical Center

February 27, 2023  – Hazard ARH Regional Medical Center has named Cindy Terpstra, RN, MSN as the Director of Surgical Services. Terpstra has worked in the nursing field for over 30 years and comes with valuable knowledge to the hospital. She has a Master’s of Science in Nursing and has been working as the temporary Director for the last three months.

 

“I’m very excited to be a part of the mission at ARH. The people in this region need and deserve this hospital to be the best! I’m proud of our surgeons, new administration, and my staff,” says Terpstra.

 

“We are thrilled to have Terpstra as the Surgical Services Director. She has a solid surgical services knowledge base, including strategies to improve patient safety, quality, advance staff development, and increase workflow efficiency. I believe Terpstra is excited to be a part of the ARH team to help improve healthcare in our communities,” says Lesley Wininger, Chief Nursing Officer at Hazard ARH Regional Medical Center.

 

Terpstra is married to Jarrett and they have two daughters and two sons. “The majority of our family works in healthcare, with my husband also in the surgical services field. We look forward to becoming a part of the Hazard community and making a difference at work.”
