Morgan County, Ky. – During his 36-year professional career, Roderick “Rod” Morgan, OTD, MS, BSBA, OTR/L, has dedicated his life to helping patients reclaim their independence and live fuller lives.
“During my 6 years (and counting) within the Appalachian Regional Healthcare (ARH) system at Morgan County ARH Hospital, I’ve truly loved what I do and who I do it with.”
Rod’s career as an Occupational Therapist (OT) has taken him to a variety of cities and settings, but he considers his current position at Morgan County ARH Hospital to be one of the best of his career.
“I love what I do and the people I serve, and I’m blessed with coworkers who feel like family,” Rod shares.
At Morgan County ARH Hospital, Rod provides both inpatient and outpatient therapy services to pediatric and adult patients. Each day, Rod works to help children build essential developmental skills and supports adults in regaining function after injury, among his other areas of practice.
Rod’s love for his coworkers is one of the reasons he chooses to take part in the ARH Foundation Employee Giving program, which allows him to support the ARH Foundation’s Employee Emergency Assistance Fund. This fund helps provide financial support to ARH employees experiencing temporary financial hardships Angela Bailey, Executive Director of the ARH Foundation shares, “We hope the fund helps provide peace of mind to those who give so much to care for others.”
“I’ve been fortunate to have worked for many great organizations over my career, but what makes ARH unique is how much we care for one another,” Rod explains. “By giving to the ARH Foundation through employee giving, we can help provide support for our ARH family when they need it most.”
Rod has a deep appreciation for the power of community and its role in healing, and he believes that supporting each other makes all the difference.
“We’re all in this together,” says Rod. “It’s not about how much you give. It’s about showing that you care and that you’re willing to help.”
Join Rod in supporting the Employee Emergency Assistance Fund through employee giving. Together, we can ensure that help is there for those who need it the most.
“This incredible program is only possible because of the generosity of donors,” said Angela Bailey. “We are committed to being here for our ARH family and we hope that you’ll join us.”
