August 30th, 2022 – Angela Bailey, CFRE, has been named Executive Director of the ARH Foundation for Healthier Communities, the non-profit fundraising arm of the Appalachian Regional Healthcare system.
As Executive Director of the Foundation, Bailey will be responsible for developing fundraising strategy, leading major gift initiatives, and coordinating fundraising events. In this comprehensive role, she will help grow the Foundation’s donor community and cultivate positive relationships with existing and potential donors. She started the new position on Monday.
“This position is vital to the growth of the Foundation. The needs in our communities are extraordinary but so are our people,” said Christi Lee, ARH Chief Legal Officer. “This job will require a passion for Appalachia and a lot of determination. I believe Angela embodies these qualities and more.”
Bailey brings extensive experience to the position working with major donors from discovery through stewardship, as well as in the creation and successful implementation of capital campaigns, annual campaigns, planned-giving, crowdfunding, and online giving.
She most recently served as Director of Development for the Children’s Advocacy Center of the Bluegrass, where she was responsible for all fundraising activities. Her experience also includes eight years spent with Frontier Nursing University, where she held the positions of Chief Advancement Officer, Director of Clinical Outreach & Placement, and Associate Director of Development & Alumni Relations. She was also Special Events & Education Coordinator for Hospice Care Plus and Director of Community Programs for Mountain Maternal Health League.
Bailey earned a bachelor’s degree in Communications Studies from Eastern Kentucky University and a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Indiana Wesleyan University.
