November 14, 2023 – Dylon Baker has been named Assistant Vice President of Workforce Initiatives for the multi-hospital Appalachian Regional Healthcare (ARH) system.
In his role, Baker will oversee various areas of workforce operations and initiatives, including recruitment, retention, immigration services, employee engagement, and workforce development for ARH.

He has displayed innovation and creativity in his contributions to improve Workforce initiatives across our system.”
Baker joined the ARH system in 2018 as a Recruiter and was promoted two years later to the System Director of Talent Acquisition. During his career with ARH, Baker has been heavily involved in talent acquisition, human resources, employee communication, marketing, and workforce development. Baker works with project development and implementation for various corporate-level human resources initiatives and leading workforce strategies to address the health systems’ needs.

A native of Eastern Kentucky, Baker earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s in Business Administration from the University of the Cumberlands after obtaining his Associate’s Degree at Hazard Community & Technical College. In addition to his job experience, Baker has gained leadership experience through completing the ARH Leadership Academy.
Baker actively serves on the Board of Directors for the Hazard Independent College Foundation at Hazard Community & Technical College and is heavily involved with various other organizations, boards, and committees throughout the region, including the Kentucky Chamber and Eastern Kentucky Concentrated Employment Program (EKCEP).
