January 04, 2024 – Appalachian Regional Healthcare (ARH) proudly announces the expansion of its partnerships with organizations in the region dedicated to addiction recovery.
Taking a significant step towards extending resources for individuals on their path to recovery, ARH presented a $5,000 donation to Beacons of Hope located in Hazard, Kentucky. This contribution is made possible through the ARH Foundation for Healthier Communities and marks the beginning of a promising partnership that allows ARH to serve these important members of our community in a new way.
Beacons of Hope plays a crucial role in the area. The organization strives to help people hurt by addiction reclaim their dignity, build a better life, and be inspired to see a brighter future. ARH’s donation will enable Beacons of Hope to provide residents with essential resources, fostering successful recovery journeys.
ARH is committed to further expanding these partnerships and increasing support for those battling addiction and those on the path to recovery throughout the region.
In response to this collaboration, Greg Burke, Executive Director of Beacons of Hope, added, “We are incredibly grateful for ARH’s support. This partnership will undoubtedly brighten the path to recovery for our residents and strengthen our collective efforts in combating addiction in our community.
This partnership between ARH and Beacons of Hope is one example of the community’s commitment to reducing barriers to becoming healthier and improving the well-being of its residents. Working together supports the ability of communities to make strides in providing hope and support to those actively fighting addiction and those on the journey to recovery.
Dylon Baker, Assistant Vice President of Workforce Initiatives at ARH, emphasized, “Partnerships like these are essential as we advance the ARH mission of improving the health and promoting well-being of all people in Central Appalachia.
