SOUTH WILLIAMSON, Ky. – ARH officials recently gathered with representatives from the Southeast Kentucky Chamber of Commerce for a ribbon cutting to celebrate the reopening of the Williamson ARH Home Care Store.
The store, which provides essential healthcare equipment including home oxygen, CPAP and BiPAP machines, hospital beds, wheelchairs, walkers and items necessary for daily living, was closed for two months following the flooding that devastated much of the region in February.
During the closure, the store’s employees worked out of the Logan ARH Home Care Store, ensuring patients ordinarily served by the Williamson location received their items without delay.
“They didn’t miss a beat,” said ARH Home Care Services CEO Susan Stewart. “The tenacity of our staff as they managed the crisis was exceptional.”
Though the store reopened in May, Stewart said the finishing touches took a bit longer.
“We had to wait for our tables and chairs to come in,” she said, “But now that everything is finished and we’re all polished up, we wanted to have something to acknowledge the hard work of our staff and to thank the community for sticking with us.”
Diane Hall, who serves as ARH Regional Home Care Store Manager, echoed Stewart’s words.
“We just want to thank our community for their support and also thank our staff for everything they did during a difficult time,” she said. “We want them to know that everything they’ve done is appreciated and their hard work has not gone unnoticed.”
